園藝治療與自閉症的交會!





(一)自閉症的特徵:
1.Language problems both in expressing and understanding the content of speech
2.Problems with social interaction-an unwillingness to allow others to share experiences, a lack of understanding of the thoughts and feelings and intentions of others and a general problem with the interpretation of nonverbal cues: facial expressions, tone of voice, etc.
3.Problems of imagination-difficulty in grasping the meaning of imaginary situations, often leading to repetitive, obsessive actions that only mean something to the child himself.
(二)園藝治療的目標:
1.sharing space
2.communication
3.creations
4.have fun just like play therapy
三)課程編排:
1.用照片紀錄種子的發芽過程來增加表達能力(photos- seeding observation by camera)
2.分組共同完成用植栽設計或組合盆栽等設計類課程來分享成功(design class)
3.用園藝治療師密笈中的happy garden玩賓果遊戲來製造樂趣(computer bingo),這只有文大推廣結訓的園藝治療師知道!
4.作創意手工藝,如壓花來作創意(art and craft)

同樣的內容也可以用在學習障礙的孩子來增進聽說讀寫能力!
